Family Resource Center Reviews

"I am a single mother of four living in Livingston Parish. On a good day, life can get challenging. Discovering the Resource Center was huge! My children LOVE it! The array of educational games and products is immense. I wish every parent and child could enjoy and partake as we have."

This letter is to thank everyone over at the Livingston Parish Family Resource Center for everything that they have done to help our family. We all know that educating our children is a group effort between home and school. As a mom, I want to do my part. In the past I would have struggled to find the resources to help my child in the way he needed. Since finding the Family Center, I have been able to effectively help him to achieve the education goals that we have set for him. The materials and the support are a blessing to the parents and children of this parish and are a testament to how much our parish values education.

Keep up the great work!

Margaret (Mags) Rodrigue

The Resource Center is such a blessing for our family. Prior to its opening we were spending hundreds of dollars monthly buying educational resources to help our two children on the autism spectrum. Gratefully, they are both very quick learners which meant we were having to buy new resources often. Now every other Tuesday we stop buy the Resource Center in Walker and check out what we need. The center is well organized and child friendly. Not to mention a well educated, considerate and caring staff. It is such a relief to no longer worry about the constant need to replace resources. The resources available are wonderful and educational, but most of all fun for our children. When we first started coming to the Resource Center my youngest child was having a very difficult time learning letter sounds but, with Jennifer's help we were able to find several games that made learning fun and he is now starting to read. We often recommend the Resource Center to others and will continue to do so.

With Gratitude,

The Bridgers Family
