Unless previously vested in one of the State Retirement Plans, all other employees, meaning employees working 20 hours per week or less, or employees not hired in a full-time permanent position, will contribute 6.2% of earnings to the Premier Social Security Alternative Plan, which is structured as an Internal Revenue Code Section 457 plan, offered through MidAmerica.
